I did that flickr meme that's going around, hit the wrong button when I was finished and lost the whole thing. I'm too lazy to do it again unless someone is dying to see it.

Can't decide if I want to do the latest bpal inquisition. There's one scent I think I'd really like, but I'm not too fond of the room sprays and $45 is a lot to pay for just the perfume. Hmmm.

Oh hai, California Supreme Court, it's gay marriage back for another go round. There's a bit of legalese in this article, but I think my flist can handle it. Basically it shows how the CA Supreme Court may have laid the groundwork for the Prop.8 challenges to come... back in May and in decisions made this summer.

In my head there is an Entourage episode that has Jared and Jensen guest-starring in it as themselves... but themselves in a relationship with each other. Then Johnny and Turtle and Vince and Eric catch them in what could be a compromising position. Or it could be totally innocent and the Entourage gang spend the rest of the episode in "Are they or aren't they?" land, discussing it, complete with Johnny: "I'd do him." and Vince: "I'd do either of them." And Turtle cracking the fuck up at all of them and making bottom-top jokes.

I hate Supernatural spoilers, but I love speculation.

They trimmed the chiffon(?) bush outside my kitchen yesterday. >.< Chopped the top right off, but at least this time they waited until summer was over. I really need to find out what it's called and the proper way to trim it and forward that to my HOA. :(

Last week it was Youngblood, this week it was Untamed Heart. Work is trying to kill me with the nostalgia and tearjerkers.

They were taken during shooting for this week's episode, but they're all behind-the-scenes and don't really give much away.

Now I have to run for work. Urg.

Had a bitchin' time at the Scream Awards tonight. Both Jared and (Surprise!)JDM were in attendance. Despite the nosebleed seats, it was really fun. My first time at the Greek, and what a gorgeous venue that is. They had the pine trees in the background all lit up a la every horror movie in existence and there was even a little fog in the air. The costume I got worked a treat-- I ended up with glittery purple and black batwings and ears. (I actually came thisclose to buying feathery black angel wings and a black halo, but the wings were gigantic so I went with the smaller glittery bat instead. Sorry, Castiel, maybe another time.) For some reason they never gave out the award Jared was up for. Not sure if the show was running long or what. Maybe Johnny Depp won and it was all prerecorded. Who knows?

A few highlights:
- Tim Burton is a very brave men. They had him ride out over the audience on a rather rickety hot-air balloon contraption.
- Awesome finale that was a tribute to George Lucas, complete with stormtrooper honor guard and laser show.
- Marilyn Manson was kind of a dick.
- Julie Benz and Neve Campbell were gorgeous.
- Hellboy II actually won an award.
- The Dark Knight pretty much swept all their categories, including two awards for Heath Ledger.
- Sir Anthony Hopkins was there to accept a lifetime horror honoree award.
- Preview clip for Watchmen!! (It got the Most Anticipated Award, I think.)
- Also a Friday the 13th clip, but I think it's the same one they showed at Comic Con.
- Lots of fire effects and some pretty excellent stage design.
- The staged pieces were entertaining in an is-this-going-to-be-a-trainwreck? sort of way. See above re: fire.
- Free booze, though all of us had to drive so there was no over-imbibing, still how often does that happen?
- I think they said it's airing Tuesday on Spike TV, for anyone who cares to catch it.

Not looking forward so much to tonight's SPN episode. The gimmicky ones tend to be my least favorite and this one (to me) has shades of Hollywood Babylon. (Is that a spoiler?)

I have to go out and find a Halloween costume tomorrow for an event over the weekend. Yikes! Anyone got any suggestions for a quick and easy goth/rock/horror costume? I'm thinking a rocker wig and a dog collar/leash. But I am not the most creative of souls and I am open to suggestions. (I kinda half think I should suggest to my friends that we dress up as Kiss since there's four of us, but I don't know that they'd be into that and the makeup might be annoying after a while. :P)

Does anyone on my flist like Arcade Fire or Our Lady Peace? I'm wondering if they're any good? I think I've heard one song by each that I've really liked.

Work rantage: So I'm working on a reformat of Guys and Dolls at work. It's one we've done before so the style is already our house style and I'm cruising along at a good clip. Get two out of three parts done pretty quickly, but then I run into the third part. OMG, it's horrible. Missing dialogue, no out-points for the captions (meaning they stay onscreen until the next one comes up, which is pretty bad when there's a section with no dialogue at all and the previous caption is up throughout the scene!) not our house style etc. This third part will take me longer than the other two parts put together and it's a lot shorter. *headdesk* Then I mention this to co-worker Bob. He tells me he worked on that file a year or so ago. It's his work I'm reformatting, but he got pulled off it to work on something else and he never finished it. He assumed they assigned it to someone else, but apparently they didn't and they delivered the unfinished file to the client! So much Argh!

But then I did get to work on Youngblood earlier in the week. Mmmmmm, baby!Rob Lowe! My first crush. I find it hysterical that most of my (male) co-workers could recognize and ID a 20-year-old Rob Lowe movie from just a few minutes of it playing in the background of our office.

I kinda want to watch last night's debate, but I don't think I'll have time till Sunday and by then I probably won't be as interested. Whoops.

Under that boyish, self-effacing, gosh-I'm-just-from-Texas exterior lies an awfully astute mind. He knows how to work a crowd, how to make us all feel at home, how to embrace an entire room like we're just hangin' out over beers - and yet he fields fan questions from the awkward to the downright silly with deft aplomb. Jared is running the room, it's not running him, and I find it impressive how well he does it, and makes it look like he's not doing a thing. So I heard this SPN spoiler about Ruby that irks me greatly... (highlight to read)

The spoiler is that Ruby's host was brain dead or in a vegetative state when she was possessed. This pisses me off more for the implications than anything else. Those being: 1) This Ruby's going to stick around for a while if they went to so much trouble to make an "acceptable" backstory for her and 2) All the fan accusations about Sam not sleeping with her because it's rape are suddenly kinda moot and I think Kripke would take great joy in messing with fandom by having Ruby and Sam really sleeping together.

But then these came out and my brain dribbled out of my ears.

I managed to catch a cold.. or the flu or something. Aside from 5+ hours spent sitting at the mechanic's staring glassily at the TV, I spent most of yesterday in bed in four hour spurts. Four hour up, four hours asleep. My schedule is all screwed up. I start the 10-hour, 4-days next week. Can't take Monday off because I'm the only QCer on all day. Everyone else has Monday off. *sigh*

Flashpoint continues to rock my world. (For some reason Firefox won't let me open IMDB pages. >.> I think it's an extension or script or something. Will have to futz around.) When do the last four episodes air?

Of course my boss at work set up the 10 hour-4 day week schedule while I was out of town. Of course he didn't talk to me about it beforehand at all, even though they promised they would. Of course they expected me to start that this week on my first day back from vacation with no notice. Of course I said no. >.< Really? You want me to work an extra 8 hours this week when I already used my vacation time to cover it?
