I'm a little bit a lot in love with my new ebook reader. I figured out how to convert and load .lit files onto it. Pdfs are next. Then to learn the big thing: DRM removal, and the ebook world will be my oyster. I do kinda wish there was a community for sharing the base files for fanfic. dragyn and amalthia were absolutely WONDERFUL to share their personal files with me and I have enough to read for MONTHS, but wouldn't it save us all a lot of work if there was a community for sharing the base files with each other? I guess I'm only interested in SPN and CW_RPS, so the kindle group isn't really my cuppa. And I wouldn't want to tread on any author's toes, so I'm not sure of it would even be advisable, but something private for friends, maybe? I might think on it more.

Got a chance to watch the first two (three?) episodes of Kings over the weekend. Man, it's gorgeous and complex and epic. I hope NBC gives it a fair chance and it finds an audience. Seriously, tons of symbolism and treachery and family dynamics and royal intrigue all set in a modern-day kingdom that looks a lot like New York. (The pilot is up on the NBC website.)
