Is it Friday yet?
Ahahaha! Someone wrote an Eliot Spencer/Michael Westen crossover. \o/

So I said I wasn't going to comment on last week's SPN... and after rethinking, I'm still not commenting on it specifically, but I will obliquely. Seeing other people's reactions to this episode and the storyline this year actually does help me reason away my unhappiness somewhat. It makes me realize that I am not the only one feeling this way about it. I know other people have a more constructive way of commenting (Refur's reviews being the biggest example) so I figure maybe linking things here might help someone else.

Oh, and I'm kinda convinced right now that Dean killing Sam will actually be the last seal and that will be the season finale. Then Lucifer will inhabit Sam's body and all next season will be Dean hunting Sam Lucifer. Those are not spoilers, just speculation.

So here's a few links of meta and related musings that have helped my make my peace with this episode:

- fic
- It's like flipping a switch
- Angels
- [info]kroki_refur's review 'o doom part one and part two

(Also the tattoo-removal scene in Sons of Anarchy? Way way WAY more effective than any torture scene that has ever been seen in SPN. Just sayin'.) Yeah yeah, cable versus network, I know. I still think it's a valid comparison.

So you know that Sam Ferris movie I was talking about working on? It is the creepiest most disturbing movie I think I have ever seen. From a gangrene baby to gnawing nipples off, it's my worst nightmares about babies come to life. *shudders* I have no idea who the intended audience is because women will be horrified to the point of walking out and men won't be interested in the subject matter. I can see why it's going straight to DVD.

Love, me Hate me, Say what you want about me
God, the season finale of Burn Notice was awesomecakes!! So much love for this show.

Huh. I was researching house prices in my area and came across this statistic: "90804 Long Beach, CA Real Estate Market
a Inner City neighborhood with 15,447 households , house depreciates 14% in the last 12 months, there are 248 homes for sale, including 213 foreclosures." 86% of the homes for sale in my area are foreclosures. O.O

Because one of y'all was silly enough to ask what I thought about 'Death Takes a Holiday,' last week's SPN: )

Rainy days and Mondays...
Well, I just pretty much spoiled myself for the end of this season of SPN. *facepalm* Fuck. Why don't people warn for spoilers in comments? (I need a bitchface icon.)

Some interesting meta and reaction links after the last couple episodes. Stashing here for my own nefarious purposes. )

My eyes seem to be leaking. That's in Kansas!

OMG, I made the best, most decadent thing in my kitchen this weekend. Buffalo Chicken Dip. )

Dad is having his staples removed at the Mayo hospital today. Sounds rather painful.

What's up with the scarf? Is it secret code instead of a bandanna? (Don't worry about understanding that. I'm just being a wee bit bitter.)

I went to a bpal event over the weekend. Spent way way too much money. But I smell gooood. =P It was fun talking to all the other bpalites. Need to ebay some stuffs soonish.

Quite a few people on my flist are going through tough times. I wish I had more than virtual hugs for y'all. :(

Douchebag!
Regarding this picture, what, did the photographer say "Make your legs look even more bowlegged"? ♥ birthday boy. (I really do love the location for this whole photo shoot. Anyone know where the pictures were taken?)

First hundred days in office? Check out Obama's first hundred hours. Holy crap, I think I'm in love.

Everyone saying that Dean's safeword is pie is making me crave pie like woah! Gimme PIE!

Where does my time go?
Korea, FTMFW~! Antique Bakery (live action) now with included Gay of Demonic Charm! Raw coming in less than a week. *_*

Oh hai, California Supreme Court, it's gay marriage back for another go round. There's a bit of legalese in this article, but I think my flist can handle it. Basically it shows how the CA Supreme Court may have laid the groundwork for the Prop.8 challenges to come... back in May and in decisions made this summer.

Also I am tempted to send this link to my mother. Some of you will know why.

In my head there is an Entourage episode that has Jared and Jensen guest-starring in it as themselves... but themselves in a relationship with each other. Then Johnny and Turtle and Vince and Eric catch them in what could be a compromising position. Or it could be totally innocent and the Entourage gang spend the rest of the episode in "Are they or aren't they?" land, discussing it, complete with Johnny: "I'd do him." and Vince: "I'd do either of them." And Turtle cracking the fuck up at all of them and making bottom-top jokes.

I hate Supernatural spoilers, but I love speculation.

More substansive SPN comments from me re: Wishful Thinking, 4.08. )

Since I've noticed a few people posting filtered entries, I thought it was another good time for my PSA. This is a drama-free LJ. Friend, unfriend at will. No hard feelings.

Has Sarah Michelle Gellar had plastic surgery?

*FLAILS* I've been wanting this song since I first heard it at the Whisky in 2006. Different Kind of Knight, Kane. Haven't been able to find/hear it since. I love that chorus. Thank you, [info]moonmelody! It's the paint horse song!!

They trimmed the chiffon(?) bush outside my kitchen yesterday. >.< Chopped the top right off, but at least this time they waited until summer was over. I really need to find out what it's called and the proper way to trim it and forward that to my HOA. :(

4.06.
Considering that I really didn't care that much for last week's Supernatural... there was not one thing I didn't adore about this week's episode.

spoilers within )

I have a lot of things I have to do tomorrow. today.

All my friends are getting new phones lately. I'm a little jealous. I want a new toy.

I am sorely tempted to drink heavily while doing my online traffic school. Do you think that's illegal?

I am actually glad season 3 is over now. [spoilers] )

So I almost never read my flist on filter. Like maybe once every three months. But today I pulled up my spn filter to see everyone's reactions and... there's a whole lot more posts there than when I read my regular flist. Like twice as many posts. As if my regular flist isn't showing me everything. WTF LJ? It is possible I just skimmed yesterday to avoid spoilers, but I think I would have remembered some of those posts.

And I finally finished the project o'doom at work yesterday. *crosses fingers* HBO is getting really picky about their DVD releases and this one was a bitch of a project. (Recount, for the curious.) Dramatizations of real events are a pain because the research is intense. Some things are made-up and some things are real and you have to know which are which and make sure everything is spelled exactly right. And this was long and talky so I ended up working on it for almost the entire week. But it had Kevin Spacey and Denis Leary in it, so there were some perks. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH8gm9I0eM4

Spoiler Warning! I'm still unspoiled for the last episode and I'd like to stay that way. Supernatural! )

Ended up buying Jeremiah S1 with part of my tax stimulus because it was on sale. *^_^* (Still is on sale, actually.) I need to put some in my savings and some towards my credit cards and I'm trying to talk myself out of buying this pretty crafty necklace I like. I don't need it and probably won't wear it much and it's a little expensive, but it is gorgeous. I just tend to wear the same jewelry all the time. I also know there some big bpal updates coming soon.

Been listening to Steve Carlson's new album a lot lately. I really like it. There's only a couple of songs on it that don't grab me.

*runs away to work*
